Choosing a digital marketing agency in Bangladesh is not just about finding someone who can run Facebook ads or design a few posts. You are choosing a team that may influence your advertising budget, customer experience and business decisions.
For an e-commerce store, a service business or a new local brand, the right agency should understand what a successful business result looks like for you before discussing campaigns. Use the questions below to make a more informed choice.
1. Explain your business goal before asking for a package
“We want more reach” is a different requirement from “We want more qualified enquiries” or “We need more delivered orders at a sustainable cost.” Tell each agency your goal, approximate budget, target customers and biggest obstacle.
Ask how they would approach that specific obstacle. A useful answer should include what they need to investigate, not a guaranteed sales number. For example, if people click your ads but do not order, the problem could be your offer, landing page, checkout or tracking rather than your audience settings.
2. Check whether the services match the actual problem
Different businesses need different support. A new brand may need a clear identity and website before scaling advertising. An established online store may need campaign management and reliable conversion measurement. A local service provider may need stronger landing pages and lead follow-up.
Review the agency’s digital marketing services and ask which part of your customer journey each service improves. Be cautious when every prospect receives the same package regardless of their situation.
3. Ask how performance will be measured
Impressions, reach and clicks can be useful, but they rarely tell the entire story. Ask what the agency plans to report, where the data comes from and how often you will review results together.
- E-commerce: orders, cost per order, delivered orders, cancellations, returns and contribution after key costs.
- Lead generation: qualified enquiries, lead-to-customer rate, cost per qualified lead and response time.
- Brand work: agreed deliverables, recognition signals, customer feedback and consistency across channels.
Some figures live in Ads Manager. Others require information from your website, sales team or order records. A good reporting process makes these differences clear.
4. Understand account access and data ownership
Before work begins, confirm who owns the ad accounts, website, analytics properties, pixels, creative files and other assets. Ask which access each team member needs and how access will be handled if the engagement ends.
Also ask whether website events are tested. The presence of a Pixel does not prove that purchases or leads are being recorded correctly. For stores using both browser and server events, deduplication and privacy settings also matter.
5. Evaluate the working process, not only the portfolio
A portfolio can show design quality, but it does not explain how an agency makes decisions. Ask who reviews your campaigns, how creative changes are tested, what happens when results worsen and how feedback reaches the team.
Request a clear scope: deliverables, reporting schedule, revision process, service fee, ad spend and any third-party costs. You should know what is included before making a payment.
Questions to ask in your first meeting
- What information do you need from our business before recommending a plan?
- What will you measure beyond clicks and platform-reported conversions?
- Who will own the accounts, website and tracking setup?
- What is included in your fee, and what costs are separate?
- How will we decide whether the work is improving?
The best fit is not necessarily the agency offering the longest service list. It is the team that can explain your problem, set realistic expectations and make its work understandable.
